My Homeless Prevention worker asked me what was right with my life before she asked me what was wrong with it! This took me by surprise that she wasn't going to try to "fix" me. She always listened carefully to me and asked about my life. If I had a counseling session with her, I knew she would be there, and I knew she expected me to be there too or the financial assistance would also end. She was always clear on expectations and followed through on what she said she would do.
The Transitional Housing program is here to help the literally homeless from homelessness into affordable housing. This program provides individuals and families with furnished housing, all utility payments and up to two years of case management.
Housing units are located in Lake City, Northfield, Faribault, and Red Wing. Placement is based on availability, household size, and household preference. Interested households must complete an application and will be notified when an opening is available.
We are not currently accepting applications at this time.
