Classes That Are Right for You

Everyone begins their homeownership journey from a different starting point.  Three Rivers offers a variety of educational opportunities to meet you where you are on your homeowernship path.

Financial literacy classes are typically 2-6 hours and focus on topics such as budgeting, saving, establishing credit, repairing credit and an introduction to homeownership.

Home Stretch workshops are 8 hour classes that give consumers an in-depth look at the entire homebuying process.  The workshops will help you:

  • Determine your financial situation
  • Understand credit, credit issues, and how credit affects the costs of homeownership
  • Decide what type of mortgage is best for your needs
  • Select the right home for your family
  • Understand the loan closing process
  • Find special programs just for first-time homebuyers

All classes and services are offered in Spanish, English, and other languages through interpreters.

Prefer to learn online rather than in the classroom?  FRAMEWORK™ is a high quality, fun way to learn how to be a smart, confident and successful homeowner.  It provides the facts you need to become well-informed about every step in the process.  To get started visit FRAMEWORK™ to learn more.

Many lenders have approved FRAMEWORK™ to meet their requirements for homebuyer education. Check with your lender to make sure online homebuyer education is accepted.

HOMEOWNERSHIP 101

Homeownership 101 offers first-time homebuyers the information they need to become successful homeowners! Learn about:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance
  • How to save energy (and money!)
  • Tips on hiring a contractor
